Wedding Theme Considerations – How Do You Choose It?

BUT if you’re planning a wedding in the summer, keep in mind it is hurricane season in the caribbean. There are still options, though, like Europe or resorts on the Pacific that generally have a “wet” rather than “hurricane” season. Hey, if the price is right, you may want to take the risk.

Check low season specials for the destination that you decide upon. Example – If you are getting married in May, highly recommended to check that your chosen destination is not having its peak period in May because this will mean paying almost double to what you would pay in low season. Check honeymoon specials offered for your destination like discounts for brides, fruit baskets, champagne, room upgrades and sometimes gifts from the resort or a free day tour.

Whether you like to swim, surf or sail, head west until you see one of the many magnificent beaches. Bring your blanket and soak up some rays. Beaches are family friendly and also a great place to check out the local scenery.

The first step in planning a cost effective destination and resort is to find a spot that you would love to go to, but won’t cost a fortune. You have to consider time of year, average hotel costs, and of course, airfare. For a family of four, this can get very expensive.

We left our occasion at the Crystal Dining room Restaurant to join one of the Crescent Hotel Ghost tours. The tour was being guided by clairvoyant Carroll Heath. The stories that he told as we walked all around the hotel were entertaining. Some, for the humorous reactions of distressed guests as they were certain they had just had a phantasmal encounter; others, for their historical relevance. Regardless your beliefs in things spectral, the ghost tour is chock full of history. The history lesson centers on the hotel, but it cannot help but reveal its relevance to the world around it.
